Summer knitting doesn’t get any better than this! If you’re looking for a quick knit perfect for warm weather, the Pet Nat Top by Ida Wirak Trettevik is it! Designed using cotton yarn with two strands held together, this halter top is a cool, low-maintenance, modern and stylish piece that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. Access the free pattern below.

Shown: Small size measures roughly 90 cm (bust circumference) and 36 cm length (from neckline to bottom edge)

The original Pet Nat Top pattern calls for Rauma Petunia yarn, however, we (Pattern Street) knitted this halter using 24/7 Cotton by Lion Brand and it turned out wonderfully. Although we knitted the garment in small, the pattern comes in sizes ranging from XS through 3XL, perfect for a variety of body shapes and sizes. Length can be adjusted further by knitting up a few extra rows in the main body or by making the i-cord straps longer. All body shapes and sizes differ so be sure to measure accordingly.
