Basic Children’s Mittens

These “Basic Children’s Mittens” are exactly that—basic mitts that knitters of all skill levels can knit with ease. It is suitable for children of all sizes, and you can easily knit a few of these in no time; just be sure to watch the gauge and use dense fabric so that they will adequately keep your hands warm.

Materials

2-3-4 oz. sport-weight yarn (to be used doubled) or worsted-weight yarn

US #6 – 4.0 mm or US #7 – 4.5 mm (use whichever to obtain the gauge)

Gauge

5 stitches = 1 inch
