These may look like ordinary socks at first glance but look closely, you will notice  that the heel offers a special surprise. A spiral motif! If you are tired of knitting the same old socks and want to try something a little different then look no further. The Double Heelix socks is a fun pattern that will have you wanting to knit more than just one pair!

Materials:

1 skein of Shibui Sock

  • 191 yards (175 meters)
  • 50 grams (1.76 ounces)
  • 100% superwash merino wool
  • Color: Peacock

1 skein of Koigu

  • 170 yards (156 meters)
  • 50 grams (1.76 ounces)
  • 100% superwash merino wool
  • Color: 2339

1 set US 1.5 – 2.5mm DPNs
Yarn needle
Scrap yarn (similar weight to sock yarn), approx. 6 feet
Crochet hook (size comparable to 2.5 mm)

Gauge:

32 sts/44 rounds = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
